Victoria Falls Marathon Terms & Conditions,

THE ROUTE
The race has been measured as 42.2 km, a standard marathon, and is being run on both tarmac as well as finishing on grass / gravel track. A 21.1km half marathon will also take place on the same date, as well as a 5km fun run. For specifics on the route, please click HERE

Wild Frontiers' reserves the right to modify any part of the route as a result of circumstances beyond its' control.

Refreshment stations providing liquid refreshments will be provided along the route at ± 4 km intervals.

ENTRY CONDITIONS
The competition is open to persons 21 years and over, juniors 18 - 21 years must have written permission from a parent or guardian and may take place in the HALF MARATHON and FUN RUN only.

The race is being run under the auspices of NAAZ and ZAAA and the IAAF rules will govern this event.

PARTICIPANT CATEGORIES
1. Juniors (18 - 21 years) - half marathon only 2. Seniors (21 - 39 years) 3. Veterans (40 - 49 years) 4. Masters (50 + years) Medals will be awarded for the first 500 finishers in the full and half marathons. Final cut-off after 6 hours (both races).

REGISTRATION
Pre-registration may be done via the website, or via Wild Frontiers the official race organisers. Final registration will take place on 27 August & 28 August 2010 at the KINGDOM HOTEL in Victoria Falls from 09h00 - 17h00 only. Absolutely NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

SECONDING
No mobile seconding of any description will be allowed on the route. Runners are allowed seconding within a distance of 100 meters either side of the official refreshment stations. Aid stations will be withdrawing from the route after a relative time calculated on the 6 hour cut-off.

PASSPORTS, VISAS, VACClNATlONS, AND INOCULATIONS
Make sure that your passport is valid for international travel, and that it will be valid until at least three months AFTER you return from Zimbabwe & Zambia. The responsibility for the provision of current and valid passports, visas, vaccinations and inoculations, where required, is that of the customer alone and Wild Frontiers (Pty) Ltd shall not be responsible or liable for any consequence of any nature arising from the entrant failing to ensure that he or she has complied with all such requirements.

Visas
Some nationalities do require a visa for entry into Zimbabwe & Zambia. Visas are normally obtained on arrival, but PLEASE ENSURE YOU CHECK FIRST AS THIS MAY VARY FROM PASSPORT TO PASSPORT. A fee will be levied in USD cash on arrival.

Inoculations & Health issues No specific inoculations are required for entry into Zimbabwe or Zambia, but please check with your local health authority officials prior to travelling. Malaria is present in both destinations and precautions should be taken.

PRICES
The price does not include personal items, beverages, meals not included in the itinerary, telephone calls and any items not specifically stated in the marathon itinerary or package tour purchased. Prices are quoted at the ruling daily exchange rate. Until full payment has been received, we reserve the right to amend the price due to ROE or other fluctuations beyond our control.

However, once full payment is received, the price is guaranteed.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT
A deposit per participant is required with booking. We reserve the right to cancel any entrant if payments are not received on time as laid out in the "Pricing Schedule". A detailed deposit and payment schedule is laid out in the "Pricing Schedule". International Guests - all payments should be made to WILD FRONTIERS (PTY) Ltd

Regional entrants (ie citizens of Zambia, Zimbabwe & Botswana) may be paid at pre-race registration - on the dates / times stipulated. PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION All pre-entries will also have to bring their passports to registration - for immigration clearance to cross into Zambia. (We are hoping to work on a manifest, rather than original passports, but please bear above in mind).

CANCELLATION
Race Entrant Fee cancellation policy: Full amount will be forfeited for the race entry alone. Tour Package and Travel arrangements policy is per Wild Frontiers terms and conditions.

INSURANCE
Travel insurance is available from Wild Frontiers at an additional cost. This is compulsory for all foreign & South African travellers (i.e. non-regional) residents who book a travel package with Wild Frontiers.

RESPONSIBILITY
Wild Frontiers event management team is responsible for arranging and providing the services during the marathon, with NAAZ / ZAAA Wild Frontiers is responsible for tour packages purchased via same - terms and conditions are separately.

ITINERARY VARIATIONS
While every effort is made to keep to all published itineraries, we reserve the right to make changes for your convenience. In some cases, weather conditions can necessitate an alteration in the event itinerary and this does not constitute any reason for refund. No refund for unused services will be considered. Wild Frontiers Event Management reserve the right to correct printing errors or omissions at any time, unaffected portions will continue to remain valid.

JURISDlCTION OF THE MARATHON
Wild Frontiers Event Management and the customer expressly agree that the laws of Zimbabwe & Zambia shall govern this agreement and any claim made.
